Sardis Lake

Sardis Lake is located 50 miles South of Memphis. Head
South Down I-55: To go to the North side of the lake; take the Como
Exit 258 to go to the slower paced side of the lake where you will
find the Holiday Lodge, boat ramps, cabins, small campground area
and a small beach. To go to the main damn area, day picnic areas,
large beach areas and the main campgrounds; take the Sardis Exit
252 or the Batesville Exit 246. Excellent fishing and swimming
area. I've seen the pictures at the Holiday Lodge of the large
catches of croppie caught this year. You will enjoy the
trip!
Arkabutla Lake
Arkabutla Lake is 30
miles South of Memphis. Take I-55 South to the Hernando Exit 280 or
the Coldwater Exit 271 to the lake. While the lake is closer to
Memphis, I find that Sardis or Enid are better lakes. The water for
swimming or skiing at Arkabutla Lake always seems muddier (dirty)
to me. Fishing is ok!
Enid Lake
Enid Lake is only 65
miles from Memphis and offers a day of fun or stay for a week.
You'll find good fishing or a lake big enough to put the hammer
down on the motor throttle. Water clears later in the
summer.
Grenada Lake
Grenada Lake is an
excellent lake located 99 miles South of Memphis. Take Interstate
I-55 South to the Grenada Exit 206.
Lakeview
Lake / Horn Lake
A small scenic oxbow lake
located 1 mile across the state line on Highway 61 (3rd Street).
Some call it a well stocked lake but I've never had much luck. It
was still great to get on the water within 30 minutes from my
house.
Tunica Lake
